Attestation of innovation
Have your projects supported from the earliest stages by preparing an attestation to establish the suitability for use of a product or system for a particular application.
To validate the quality of innovations and limit risks during their market introduction, companies rely on certification. BCCA is a strong partner in this process.
However, when the standards or technical requirements on which certification is based do not exist, are not yet established or are not applicable to innovations, it is necessary to provide an appropriate solution that builds confidence among stakeholders in the construction sector.
To meet this need for structured and gradual support, BCCA , has established the Attestation of Innovation in collaboration with COPRO, Procertus, and SECO. This approach allows innovative products or systems to operate in a controlled pilot environment, where they can demonstrate their reliability and strengthen the confidence of field professionals.
Why an Attestation of Innovation?
The Attestation of Innovation offers the construction sector the opportunity to innovate with confidence, contributing to a sustainable and high-quality future.
The Attestation of Innovation confirms the compliance of an innovative product intended for a specific use within a given project. It is valid only for that project.
In its role as a facilitator, BCCA supports manufacturers, organizes the necessary consultations among experts, and carries out evaluations of innovative products as well as on-site inspections until the Attestation of Innovation is granted.
Once obtained, the Attestation of Innovation enables:
- Rapid market access for products/systems for which certification is not (yet) possible
- Increased confidence from public and private clients when selecting construction solutions that incorporate innovative materials/systems
- A controlled environment for contractors using innovative materials/systems
The Attestation of Innovation can also serve as a first step toward future certification.
