When no harmonized standard exists, an ETA (European Technical Assessment) can be requested. An ETA is an official document confirming that construction products meet the essential performance requirements defined in an EAD (European Assessment Document).
This label is essential for building trust in the quality and safety of products and forms an important basis for free trade within the European internal market, including with Switzerland and Turkey.
It therefore enables producers, specifiers and end users to know that products are reliable and compliant with the applicable requirements.

ETA
Does your construction product not (fully) fall within the scope of a European harmonized standard?
Have an ETA issued in accordance with EOTA guidelines.
An ETA is a performance assessment based on a European Assessment Document (EAD). Through this documented evaluation, the performance of the essential characteristics of your construction product is assessed.
This enables you, as a manufacturer, to affix the CE marking to your product and gain access to the European market. BCCA acts as a Notified Body for the certification of AVCP systems 1, 1+ and 2.
